Privacy Statement
This privacy statement explains how personal data is processed when you visit this website or submit the pilot interest form. It follows the Swiss Federal Act on Data Protection (FADP) and, where applicable, the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR).
1. Controller
The controller responsible for data processing on this website is FOOD2050 AG, Zeltweg 40, 8032 Zurich, Switzerland.
Questions about data protection: ck@food2050.ch.
2. Data we collect
Form data: when you submit the pilot interest form we process the name, organisation, role, email address, selected areas of interest, optional message and the site language you used.
Technical data: our hosting provider processes standard server and connection data (such as IP address, browser type, requested page, date and time) that is technically necessary to deliver the website securely.
We do not use advertising cookies or third-party tracking. A single local storage entry stores your language preference on your device only.
3. Purposes and legal basis
Form data is used solely to evaluate your interest in the pilot, to contact you about participation, and to organise the programme. The legal basis is your consent by voluntarily submitting the form, and our legitimate interest in running the initiative.
Technical data is used for operating, securing and troubleshooting the website.
4. Recipients and transfers
Submissions are stored in our backend database and forwarded by email to the initiative team. We use service providers for hosting, database and email delivery who process data strictly on our instructions.
Some of these providers may process data outside Switzerland or the EU/EEA. In such cases we rely on appropriate safeguards such as standard contractual clauses.
Data is not sold and is not shared with third parties for their own marketing purposes. Partner organisations of the initiative receive information about your submission only where this is necessary to organise your participation.
5. Retention
Form submissions are kept for the duration of the pilot programme and for a reasonable period afterwards for documentation purposes, unless you ask us to delete them earlier.
6. Your rights
You may request access to your personal data, correction, deletion, restriction of processing, or a copy in a portable format, and you may object to processing. You can also withdraw a consent you gave, with effect for the future.
To exercise these rights, write to ck@food2050.ch. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with the Swiss Federal Data Protection and Information Commissioner (FDPIC) or your local supervisory authority.
7. Security
We apply appropriate technical and organisational measures to protect personal data, including encrypted transport (HTTPS) and access-restricted storage. No transmission over the internet can be guaranteed to be completely secure.
8. Changes
We may update this statement to reflect changes to the initiative or to legal requirements. The version published on this page applies.
